Illyriad on Steam!

I play Illyriad via MS on Win 10. Today though the game will not initialize and run. I get a message to 'login'. I have never had to do that before and I have played it for days.

I have never had to login to anything just hit the shortcut and Illyriad comesup. Now, I cannot go to the Illyriad web site and log in because I play the game through MS. When I do try to log in that way I get the message 'no account'. I tried going to Microsoft web site and logged in there but that did not work either.Confused. I tried uninstalling the game Illyriad and re-installing it.

That option worked because now the game comes up no problem.To answer your questions though:1. Yes, the issue was specific to this game.2. No, I made no changes to the Microsoft account prior.3. I do not have local account activated to avoid signing in constantly. I do not activate the microsoft account prior to opening the game. Perhaps the account is always signed in since I did not sign out of it.

Whatever the case the game now comesup and plays.I did install the game from the microsoft store. Since I did that, I cannot play the game from the desktop/Illyriad web site as the game will not recognize me as a player. I cannot start a new game using my current player name at the Illyriad web site. So,unless I can always start the game through microsoft I cannot play that player name and I will lose all the gains I have made.Is there a way to go to the microsoft web site and play the game from there in case I cannot sign in one day? If there is I have not found it.
