Intro: In Along Together, you are a kid’s imaginary friend: their invisible companion when there’s no one else around, and their guardian when things get dangerous. When the kid’s best friend in the real world goes missing, the two of you venture out to find them.


Verdict: When it comes to 3rd person adventure games VR takes them to a whole new level and Along Together is no exception. With its colourful cartoon graphics and high-quality character animation each level, each object and character interaction is simply a joy to watch. While the sound and music and subtle they do help to make this game that little bit more immersive.

With 2+ hours of gameplay that £10 price tag doesn’t seem so high and while there is no denying that this game is aimed at younger players, it will keep us adults amused for a good hour or so, While looking at a video or images of this game might make you think about buying it, seeing it in VR is something truly magical and something every Daydream owner should play. Yeah, I wish it was about half the price that it currently is, but that doesn’t stop me from loving it to bits.

  • READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission is no longer set in Daydream. It is still set if you have Cardboard as a selected device.
  • Add new setting to provide ability to override transition view in Cardboard
  • Fix missing OpenVR libraries in GVR12 build.

  • Fixed a build issue where not having VR front/back icons was causing an IO Exception on build.
  • Added Sending HOME intent when application calls Application.Quit in response to pressing X or handling back button.

Known Issues- HOME Intent is not currently set if you set Input.backButtonLeavesApp = true. Issues is known and a fix is on the way.- Calling Application.Quit causes a 3 second delay from when the activity goes away and when the phone home screen is display. In that 3 seconds the user is dropped into Daydream Home. The issue is understood and we are currently researching a fix.
